An Unsettling Place

There’s something past these glassy eyes

A tide, a flood, I try to hide

I try to put little things aside

But even so, I can only try

Everybody takes a part to uphold the worlds expanding heart

Holed with notches, brackets, and screws

I don’t know what part to hold onto

But I try

But I try like i’m supposed to

I try like all the rest

I’m just waiting for the chance when the tiring will arrest

But I know I cannot stop it here in any simple way

Though I assume that things are easy, they are all in disarray

And maybe what I’m saying is that I’m just a bit afraid

Of how to keep on living in a world thus arrayed

About: I wrote this quite a while ago. Just putting it out there.
